नागौर जिले के छोटे से गांव भूण्डेल से अकेले ही चल पड़ा मंजिल की ओर। सफर में भले ही कोई हमसफर नहीं रहा लेकिन समय-समय पर पत्रकारिता जगत में बड़े-बुजुर्गों,जानकारों व शुभचिंतकों की दुआ व मार्गदर्शन मिलता रहा। उनके मार्गदर्शन में चलते हुए तंग,संकरी गलियों व उबड़-खाबड़ रास्तों में आने वाली हर बाधा को पार कर पहुंच गया गार्डन सिटी बेंगलूरु। पत्रकारिता में बीजेएमसी करने के बाद वहां से प्रकाशित एक हिन्दी दैनिक के साथ जुड़कर पत्रकारिता का क-क-ह-रा सीखा और वहां से पहुंच गए राजस्थान की सिरमौर राजस्थान पत्रिका में। वहां लगभग दो साल तक काम करने के बाद पत्रिका हुबली में साढ़े चार साल उप सम्पादक के रूप में जिम्मेदारी का निर्वहन करने के बाद अब नागौर में ....

Pune. Do not be surprised if while travelling from Pune to Mumbai in Deccan Queen Express, you find your ticket being checked by a woman TTE ( train ticket examiner). After deploying woman engine driver on the Pune-Mumbai-Pune Deccan Queen, the central railway from April 7 onwards has begun deploying women TTEs on the train. Suhas Lohakare, public relation officer of Pune railway division, said, "Till now, the Deccan Queen used to have male TTEs. However, from April 7, the division has deployed four women TTEs for the train. The TTEs, Rashmi Dalvi, Yogini Relekar, Meenakshi Salukhe and Manisha Chakane, manned the train till Mumbai." According to the railway officials, it was for the first time, the entire train was being manned by women TTEs.
Lohakare added that all four women head TTEs hail from Pune division. They are into service for the last seven to eight years and have been conducting checking of tickets on Pune-Lonavla route in mail and express trains. All of them have undergone the required training course for TTEs. TTEs check tickets and reservations during the journey. They also hold powers to impose fine, if any passenger is caught without ticket or violating journey rules, the officer added. Known as the most prestigious daily train on the Pune-Mumbai route, the Deccan Queen has been running successfully for over 70 years. On women's day, for the first time, a woman loco driver Surekha Yadav drove the train from Pune to Mumbai. Deccan Queen has 17 compartments, including 10 second sitting class compartments, 4 A/C chair car, 1 pantry and 2 SLR. The train leaves for Mumbai in the morning, and returns to Pune in the evening.
